The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust is a very credible sponsor, having both the capacity and determination to continue to drive up standards, and oversee the future development of its provision for its stakeholders.
The Executive Group, working through the Academy Board, has accumulated a wealth of experience and a network of support from other professionals across the private, public and voluntary sectors. This includes the skills and expertise of those involved in local business and occupations within the corporate world. The Academy Board of this multi-academy Trust is made up as follows:

Having a great deal of previous experience as a governor for more than nine years, Marie Ashley has an excellent understanding of education with experience of ensuring children’s needs are met. With two children attending College, she is passionate about learning and being part of supporting children in their journey. With a background in Environmental Health and a senior manager with human resources experience, there can be no doubt that Marie is very well placed to be Chair and an extremely effective member of the group.

As an IT Manager at BP, Stewart Duguid has first-hand experience of financial reporting requirements and risk management; he is qualified in both Business Continuity Management and also auditing management systems to ISO standards. With strong organisational skills, he has been highly successful in running his own business and also a diverse career with a number of multi-national organisations. Using his project management skills, he has demonstrated his ability to deliver complex projects to budget and on time. His business acumen will certainly benefit the work of the LAB as will his wider interest in rugby, both as a qualified referee and Level 2 coaching experience at Wasps.

Norman Deas has been closely associated with all aspects of the catering industry throughout his working life. Having graduated from the Scottish Hotel School at the University of Strathclyde, he gained practical hands on experience within various sectors of the industry and ultimately directorships of several large contract catering companies. In 1997, he set up Goodfellows CMS Ltd which specialised purely in Education and sold the company to Compass in 2004 before setting up GSS Catering Management Services as a consultancy to the catering industry. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, a member of the British Hospitality Association, a past Chairman and Director of the European Catering Association (GB), a past Chairman and Fellow of the Association of Catering Excellence and was a non-executive Director of Pride Catering from 2009 to 2015. He is also the Treasurer and a Trustee of his local Church. His outside interests include running for various charities which included the London Marathon in 2011 and is a keen supporter of several football clubs

Nicole Heard is well rehearsed with the work of the Local Advisory Body at Parkside Studio College. With this in mind, she stepped into the role of Interim Chair to provide the necessary support whilst the new De Salis LAB is formed and roles embedded. As a former teacher herself, she is working to ensure effective and impactful governance through her participation in the Teach First ‘Governor Impact Programme’ – the organisation with whom she is now Strategy Manager. Through her business links and previous role as a Business Strategy Consultant at Accenture, a broad range of expertise is readily accessible to the Board.

Heidi Faure is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of success. As a former Mathematics Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Management, Heidi quickly moved into the role of Vice Principal at Rosedale, before being appointed as College Principal in January 2013. Heidi Faure now overseas four secondary schools in her role of Executive Principal. As an advocate of clear targets and monitoring of progress, Heidi and the leadership team have continually secured fantastic outcomes for the students. As a former governor of a local primary school, she has an absolute understanding of the needs of the community and is resolute that the students should fulfil their potential.

Clive Neathey is a long-serving educational leader who has a proven track record of school improvement even in the most challenging circumstances. He has a MA (Distinction) in School Improvement and Development from the University of Surrey together with a range of professional qualifications obtained in-service. As Chief Executive of the Academy Trust, Clive continues to embrace new opportunities and respond to the changing demographics, demands and needs of the local community to secure the best possible outcomes for the learners in his care.

Sarah Driscoll has over fifteen years’ experience in education leadership in both the primary and secondary phase, as well as experience in Studio Colleges and UTCs. Starting her career as an English teacher, Sarah has worked previously as a Principal, School Adviser and School Inspector. She is passionate about maximising opportunities in the Trust for cross collaborative working and in ensuring all children are supported to reach their potential from the moment they arrive in nursery through to Post 16.
Sonya Barlow is a Campaign Analyst for Dunnhumby involved in marketing and development through effective promotion, personalised and relevant customer communication, and advertising to help transform business. She has previous experience as a governor and is keen to help students achieve, enabling them to understand and be motivated towards opportunities they wouldn't have otherwise considered, such as studying abroad, for example. She is passionate about helping others; assisting to better the education system and committed to spending time in school to put forward positive messages so that students receive powerful messages and believe in themselves.
As Head of Network Operations, Tony Cohen is keen to add value using a wealth of experience in industry, leading organisations and employing large numbers of people. Educated in technical college and university environments, he recognises some of the needs of students. Working across London and the surrounding region, he is heavily involved in employing apprentices and graduates, and also sponsoring employees each year through higher education. He brings an employer’s perspective to education along with his own personal understanding, as well as that of employees. Through first-hand experience, his focus has been on ensuring young people remain in employment and continue their education.
